“Rudy”. Do you remember that movie? Did you see it? If you didn’t then you should go out and rent it….NO…BUY IT… and watch it this weekend. if you have kids, have them watch it with you. It is without question one of the most inspiring stories in human history.
I happened to catch it for like the 50th time on late night TV recently and thought of you as I watched. This story has elements of pretty much everything we all encounter in one way, shape or form in business and in life.
As you’ll see, Rudy had PLENTY of reasons to be discouraged…plenty of reasons to give up…to quit…and settle for a less difficult path. But he was unwilling to pass-around his passion…he was unwilling to step-over his purpose…he was unwilling to settle for anything less than the life he truly wanted to live.
I found these clips on the internet and wanted to share them with you to give you a weekend motivational charge. In total it is about 15 minutes but trust me, its well worth it!
You too are great beyond your wildest imagination. Enjoy!

Here is my favorite line taken directly from the real Rudy Ruettiger:
“The power of the dream…of giving someone hope…
———————–THAT’S the most powerful thing you can give someone.”
What is you’re favorite quote?
Share any thoughts and inspirations these videos may have given you.
I’m standing for all that’s possible for you in life and business.
Sincerely,
Steve

I am reminded of a dream quote, “Sitting still and thinking makes no man great. Great Lord shall send fishing but you must dig the bait.” Rudy had a passion and he worked hard to succeed
“Sitting still and thinking makes no man great. Great Lord shall send fishing but you must dig the bait.” My son is slow, so I usually call him ‘Slow Motion King’. I won’t call him the same now after watching this video. Can you suggest some ways to bring up potential.
Hey Steve, about,”all you need is a dream”, and motivation, and great passion,to make your dream come true, to be in reality, in your life.every thing is possible, when you believe in it, and take action to fullfil yor dream, to be in the reality. like the saing of Napoleon Hill
“What the mind of man
can conceive and believe,
it can achieve”.
Moved me to tears and gratitude for the good people who have encouraged me in my life. I’m not sure that I have a dream, but I understand the gratefulness and thankfulness for people who appreciate and realize the hard work I have done in my life. I know that I am moving forward and sometimes I wish I knew my dream as knowingly as Rudy did. This has been food for thought about my dream and putting it into words and making it my goal!! Thank you
Steve,I’ve watched your video clips over the last year and have watched the movie Rudy many times. I’m reminded that over the last 30 years of being self employed in various sales or marketing, that motivation as much from those around us, needs to come from within. It would be nice if there was a mentor that could come along at those times when we’re down or struggling, but that’s not always the case. I definitely believe in the laws of attraction, and in Rudy’s case, he never lost his passion or focus and so he attracted those around him when he needed it most without realizing that it was happening. A lot of people today, including me, have difficulty in defining and finding Passion for what we really want to do in life. I do believe it is something a majority of us all strive for, waking every day seeking to find our purpose, sometimes it’s a real struggle, but we can all learn from Rudy and never give up.
Steve, Although I remembered the title and the fact that this movie revolved around football, I had not seen it nor was I aware of the content. It reminded me of the many mentors which have helped me during my life. (I am 69 years old.) I have always found that when I wanted something badly enough to keep working at it consistently, someone who had been watching my efforts would show up just when conditions appeared to be as bad as they could get and this person or persons had the message or information which I needed to complete whatever task I was involved in. This has occurred too many times over the years to be accidental. Whenever I have been unable to complete a project or make a change in my life, later events proved to me that the change would have been detrimental at that time. Eventually, the change which I desired or the results which I sought were accomplished and the timetable was better than the original timetable. Thanks for the reminder.
I was moved to tears. I wonder if it was because somewhere deep in side I have an aborted dream! The statement :The power of the dream…of giving someone hope..–THAT’S the most powerful thing you can give someone.”- reminds me of a quote I heard, the source I cannot cite, that says: “the best way to finish life is to invest in those who are now starting.”
Inspirational, even when you are 59 yrs young.
Every thing starts from a dream, I have always had dreams the last one hasn’t made it yet. I know your not a loser inless you quit. I love what you teach.Oliver Amesbury
One of my dreams for many years has been to have a syndicated newspaper column. Now, I just need help getting a good website with a blog/newsletter set up so that I can direct traffic to it. I also need to learn how to utilize the social sites effectively to build a list.
I would appreciate it if you would read my blog and leave a comment or send me an e-mail to Granny75@live.com

I got teary eye on this one. It brings hope, hard work a dream, it brings hope. Dexter Yager brought me hope with his quote : “You got to love your people.” Roger
Rudy,
The epitome of life’s achievement process.
Hope draws you forward.
Love (for others and from others) keeps you going
Joy is to have both.
Thanks Steve for the timely reminder

My dream was to become a psychologist but I was raised poor with no support. After I raised my children alone for over 15 years, I went to college, while my youngest was in college. I worked long hours and received my BS in Psychology. Then I was given a vision to pass around a nation wide petition, closing the loop holes in the pedophile laws and gathering child sexual assault organizations to meet on the Lincoln Memorial steps in Washington DC. I formed the FACSA Foundation, facsasavethechildren.com, to fight on behalf of sexually abused chidren. I gathered child sexual assault organizations in Washington Dc, in Nov. at the Lincoln Memorial. While there, I formed the National CHild Sexual Assault Coalition, with child sexual assault organizations from across the nation. I pray this year I can lead us to unite organizations acorss this nation to change the social stigma of child sexual assault, the opinion of lawmakers, and public perspective of this multi-generational epidemic.
