A favorite early Saturday morning ritual of mine is browsing about the TED network watching video presentations about various topics that interest me or catch my eye at the moment. TED is best described as a clearinghouse of information that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world’s most inspired thinkers, and also a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other.

This Saturday morning, I came across the video I have provided below. It may seem a bit off topic at first, but if you will watch it all the way through, I believe you will be profoundly inspired by the insightful and relevant perspective it offers.

I believe you will see that the circumstances that block you in your daily life are the result of the assumptions and beliefs you carry with you. With different assumption and beliefs, a radical new set of options and pathways appear.

By changing what you believe to be true about what is possible for you in your quest to find the perfect business you are liberated to “lift off from the world of struggle and sail into a vast universe of possibility.”

Benjamin Zander has been the conductor of the Boston Philharmonic since 1979. He is known around the world as both a guest conductor and a speaker on leadership — and he’s been known to do both in a single performance.

He uses music to help people open their minds and create joyful harmonies that bring out the best in themselves and their colleagues.

His provocative ideas about leadership are rooted in a partnership with Rosamund Stone Zander, with whom he co-wrote The Art of Possibility – Transforming Professional and Personal Life.
