If you are using a “task list” to manage your time this lesson is going to change everything for you.
Most of all you will learn how to use your calendar as a powerful tool which guarantees daily accomplishment and success.
Imagine everyday as measured collection of accomplishments in service of your goals and ultimately your purpose.
Here’s the lesson….
–
You’ll be empowered each morning by the structure…
And rewarded each evening by accomplishment…
I look forward to hearing your thoughts about this lesson.

I find this difficult to follow. I learn and retain better if I see something –an example if you will– Perhaps white board OR a calendar made up showing what you mean. It feels like a lecture that is not registering.. thanks
Thank you, Steve, for the sound advice. I receive so many emails that I don’t always take the time to check them out, but I’m glad I viewed your video. I am a “lister” and feel strongly about planning and putting daily goals down on paper. Your simple techniques to turn these into accomplishments make a great deal of sense.
Thanks again,
Robyn
Thanks, Steve. I will watch the video again, but my initial response is to wonder at the difference between conventional listing and what you recommend, other than that the former is a compilation of task headings and the latter the same compilation stated as present tense accomplishments. Is this correct?
Hi David,
Thank you for the comment.
There a several key distinctions between the two. One is the statement of action (which are tied directly to the list of intentions you created in ‘The Indispensable Next Step‘) in the context of the accomplishment itself. Another important one is the allocation of a dedicated and clearly bounded block of time. This 2nd one is what allows you to “build-in” accomplishment in all 7 areas of life. If you omit this structural element, while you will certainly be more aware of accomplishment, you will still likely leave something out and end up less than satisfied with the result.
Make sense?
Sincerely,
Steve
steve, I belive this could work well when and if you have your act together so now another challange i must face and put together. I need to take classes and study your blogs more like a classroom and put into action, I think I am chaseing my tail and I do not have one boy oh boy, what happen to me ??? just when you think you know somethings oops there gone haha : ) : ) : ) ANYWAY AS MOST ALWAYS YOUR VIDEO IS INSIGHTFUL AND THANK YOU….
Steve, frankly, I did not get much from this lesson. I agree with Dianne’s comment above. I am a more visually oriented person, and that is how I learn best. If you could put his lesson on a whiteboard, or show us your calendar, I would grasp the concept much more.
Thanks, Steve.
