One of our members shared this with me and I was so captivated by it I wanted to share it with you.
This animated video presentation is adapted from Dan Pink’s talk at the Royal Society of Arts (RSA), and reveals the hidden truths behind what really drives and motivates people. It is quite similar to the content in the article I published: The Surprising Science of Motivation.
This is a vitally important set of principles for you to understand as you go about developing your perfect business.
Whether you are employing people or outsourcing to contractors and service providers you need to understand how to ‘motivate’ them to excel.
This will help you get build a motivated and driven winning team!
Isn’t it fascinating?
“The Purpose Motive” is emerging to the top of the motivational priority pyramid for even the largest corporations.
This is precisely why I have you begin with discovering and defining it for yourself in ThePerfectBizFinder Program. Based on the feedback from program participants this first program exercise is one of the most powerful AND empowering experiences in the entire Program.
What do you think?
Does this notion of a ‘purpose motive’ inspire any fresh ideas for how you might accelerate your success?
I’m standing for all that’s possible for you.
Sincerely,
Steve
PS – How effective the animation is in focusing my mind on the content and I wonder if it does the same for you. Seems like the surprising science of animation to me. =0)

Beautifully insightful video. The basic conclusion arrived at is that human beings at the core level of our nature are purpose-driven; or put another way, are more powerfully motivated by universal values that lies beyond personal profit. This is in fact moving closer to the core nature of what and how we naturally are as the spiritual beings that we truly are.
When we operate or live from out of an awakened spiritual consciousness of life, self and reality, we are also naturally motivated to live in harmony with the Natural Laws of Creation of which we are a part.
Without realising it increasing numbers of research findings in natural and sociological sciences are pointing back full circle to the essentially transcendental spiritual nature of human beings, which, for thousands of years have been unfortunately overshadowed by our brain-generated intellectualism – which is by its nature always earthbound. Yet that is the very foundation of “modern western materialism, and all its earthbound institutions.
The video gives only a feint glimpe of what is possible when the higher spiritual intuitive faculties of human beings is allowed even just a little freedom of expression; freedom to spread its wings and soar. Anyone who seriously would like to know more about what I regard as the only book of knowledge that finanally and comprehensively explains all of human existence, answering all the questions with simplicity and logical consistency, feel free to contact me:

Excellent Steve! thanks for sharing this. Your videos and advice are always welcome, you are a trusted source because your post have real value and enlightenment. Keep up the good work.
That video is very true. We all need purpose in our lives and having fun doing it for free. We have to feel that we are accomplishing benefits for the entire human race. It helps seeing an artist at work with these ideas coming at us from a video.
Thanks for that nourishment,
Barbara
Excellent, well done steve. Certainly it is purpose- the ability to serve/contribute/uplift/make life easier as well as freedom to direct ourselves and mastery that are top motivators.
$ has not been a top reason for satisfaction at work in sociological studies for decades. If we do not serve/work with purpose, and even love we shall not be sustained. To be creative/ self directed, improving in mastering skills and purposely serving, well that reaches all of us in the core of our being as soul.
Blessings steve and thanks.
Outstanding presentation. In some ways we are evolving into needing a compelling ‘why’ when it comes to our jobs/businesses. Money is great and necessary but just working for money alone is boring…
Great site. A lot of useful information here. I’m sending it to some friends!
Of course Passion is the love behind all great beings which we all are , I love the world is becoming a better place, the sketches looks really cool and I am still like the big kid myself that is why I see so much KNOW THAT ALWAYS APPRECIATE THE MESSAGES AND NOTES STEVE thank you and your friends awesome have a great day Estelle
I always thought it was money that motivated people but I have learned a whole new concept. whats in it for me ? answer a feeling of purpose of being needed of helping someone, we all want to know that we matter.
Steve! You da MAN! I’ve only seen a little bit of what you have to offer, and am BLOWN AWAY! This video gave me SO much encouragement that I’m headed down the perfect path for me! Now I just need to find out how to make the thing work! Though
I do have a new angle on how to present “Fathom Deep” to prospects! Thank you!
Steve, compliments once again. It is no secret that blogs can be employed as effective marketing vehicles. You do so to great affect, while not losing sight of your evident intention - the building of genuine rapport with your readers/followers through consistent delivery of value.
I am no longer surprised by the quality of content that you share with us. I have come to expect this of you. It nonetheless remains a pleasure to send praise to one who has so consistently proven himself worthy of it. Thank you for taking the high road . . . sharing of your wisdom and experience – and that of others worth our consideration.
You are a blessing to the business community. Consistent with Peter Drucker’s definition of Marketing, you render sales to be superfluous – as it should be. You have invested the time, effort and resources to earn the levels of rapport and trust required to do so.
Thank you for sharing this. I perceive the subject of this video to be a critical success factor, possibly the most important among them. In the absence of Purpose as Motive a lack of common directional orientation exists through which to focus decisions and activity, actually facilitating potential for incongruent behavior and certain disharmony. W. Edwards Deming, who was among the most respected of Quality Management authorities, posed “Establish Constancy of Purpose” [i.e., "Aim"] as the first of his “14 Points” for management. Those who recognize the significance of this issue may wish to pursue understanding of Deming’s reasoning for having done so.
Best wishes, Steve. Keep up the great work.
@9:00 “When the Profit motive gets unhitched from the Purpose motive, BadThings happen!” ~ Hello, BP!!!!! And AIG and Countrywide, and, and, and … the examples of this in the headlines are endless.
This is a brilliant presentation of information that many know intuitively, but find hard to put words (and dollar figures) to. Thanks for sharing, Steve!
This is so true. I’ve been a victim of the carrot brigade and hated it. All I wanted to do was be wildly successful and I was fired for not performing their listed behaviors….
what an interesting and engaging way of doing a presentation.
very cool information too thanks
Very interesting – wish I could draw like that guy!! I have just returned to Australia from LA for a concerence with Heart-Centred Entrepreneurs – awesome. Their whole focus relates so much to what you have just pointed. I really believe going this way businesses will help shift the world into a better space, for all of us.
