How to Guarantee Success

In this video I give you a simple yet powerful exercise to establish a solid foundation for finding your perfect business.

By watching this video and completing the exercise you’ll get a crystal clear understanding of what really success means to you in the context of finding your perfect business. Do it now, you might be surprised by the outcome.

I read a quotation recently: “The first step to getting what you want is knowing what it is”

Interesting isn’t it?

Do the exercise provided in the video and let me know how your NEW definition of success compares or contrasts with your previous one?

Tell me what else you learned from this video and the exercise I provided by commenting below.

Before you go, consider this:

Most people go through life seeking a ‘generalized’ vision of success defined by things like “more free time”, “more money”, “a nicer car”, “bigger house”, etc. They work harder, longer and chart their progress like a graph, “up and to the right”. But the majority of the time, even if you get these things you still don’t experience the success you seek. Why?

Because you never really defined what success IS.

It’s like trying to travel from San Fransisco to Dallas by going a little east and a little south each day.

True, you’re going in the correct general direction, however not only won’t you know when you get there, but a little too much of either and you’ll most likely end up swimming in either the Gulf of Mexico or the Atlantic Ocean.

Don’t be surprised if this turns out to be more difficult than you thought it will be. So many of the decisions you make and the actions you take each day are sourced by subconscious beliefs about what success is ’supposed’ to be.

I’m going to show you how to ‘trick-out’ this subconscious interference in the next lesson.

I am excited to hear your thoughts about the information I provided in this video lesson and am standing for all that’s possible for you in life and business.

Be sure to comment below.

Sincerely,

Steve

PS – Let’s face facts here. Humans are just not very good at holding themselves accountable for ‘challenging’ matters like the regular disciplined focus on goals and objectives. This is another reason every successful person you know of has at least one coach or mentor keeping them accountable and supporting their success efforts along the way. Nobody…no matter how enlightened, knowledgeable or experienced…can generate success on their own.

That’s another of the reasons I created ThePerfectBizBuilder Coaching Program. You’ll have dedicated, direct, one-on-one access to a top caliber professional business success expert. I guarantee you’ll remain laser focused on in accomplishment of the success you seek. Trust me, I know. ;0)

There is no other program like it anywhere. There is no cost to apply. Check it out and let me know what you think: ThePerfectBizBuilder Coaching Program

Check out what others are saying about this amazing program:

“I am totally stoked and wanted to take a moment to give you my impression of the coaching program. You have gone above and beyond what I expected of you and the results have been amazing. This is the same business I’ve been mulling over for months now with one big difference – Now I believe I can build it!” – Matthew S. Tucson, AZ

“My coach has been tremendously helpful in bringing focus and clarity to my business efforts….I always look forward to our sessions, knowing that I will come away with a new perspective…I noticed that before my work with my coach, I was unfocused and going in too many directions, and now I am much clearer about who I am marketing to, what their needs will be and what I need to be effective in promoting myself in the marketplace. After just a few weeks, I have already received three referrals for work and more keeps coming my way!” – Leslie T. Hawaii, USA

  5. Hi Steve, I have done this exercise a few times in the past year. The first time I did it, really made we realize how much I allow my subconcious to control my life (I thought it was a reason things didn’t work out in my life) but this past year I have learned through doing this exercise and a couple similar ones, that I am the one that creates my reality. No matter what the subconcious does, it can be changed. Thanks for the video though. I shared it with a couple people that need the visual discussion and not just the written word. Tammie

  6. I also enjoyed the exercise although i often think of what i would like and realize one would have to be successful to aquire them. But i found out by your eye closing and breathing method that each time another desirable would pop up and i would jot that down as well

  8. Hello sir, this exercise has not done much for me because I already did similar exercise through other experiences. Success is for me knowing that I have done something meaningful for others, that I tamed my personal ‘demons’ (anger, doubts, fears, worries, frustration…) so that I can be free, that I achieved financial freedom to accommodate my wants & needs, as well as having means to go on with my mission… I will feel successful when I achieve constant happiness that includes love, health, wealth, wisdom, and beauty.

  13. I started out with one or two word answers of what success means to me, and every time I did the exercise the answers became more specific.  I am curious to see your suggestions on how I’m going to attain the success I want.

  14. Steve, great exercise to help get people out of the “I can’t” mentality. Your thoughts on the subconscious are right – most people have been trained through their surroundings, upbringings etc. that they simply must accept mediocrity. I am not sure where I first identified this, but when a person does identify this, it totally opens up their mind to possibility. As I can already see from other comments, folks that are doing this exercise see the potential to achieve whatever their dreams are. If I could contribute one thing to the folks following this program, DREAM BIG! Don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot achieve your goals. Stop telling family and others what your goals and dreams are if they are going to give you negative responses. Break free from the chains!!! Steve’s exercise is a good first step to getting there. And stay involved in communities like this where like minded people go after big things!

  15. Hi Steve,I am finding myself waiting for each new blog that you send my way!!!  The exercise today was insightful.  It doesn’t look like materialism is my demon, although if I achieved success in light of my definition, I would have all I want.

  19. Hi Steve- Great exercise! Being a past business and life coach I know this question is vital and important. Especially using the breathing process to sidestep a logical, limiting mindset.  I’ve had much joyful personal and client coaching success in my various careets- fulfilled my dreams and adventures.  I’m considering what’s next – it was great to be reminded of the power in this intuitive process.  Thank You!  Appreciate your commitment. 20. Mr. Little,I have been weeding out and following a few business coaches over the last five years or so. Although I am familiar with some of what you have presented here, I have found your style and personal input very refreshing. Looking at the material you have covered for information so far makes me anxious to see what is up and coming. Many free offers (in the get to know me phase) stop being free after providing this much.Do you have an outline of sorts that would put some structure or direction to the remaining 14 days?

  21. Steve,My main concern is how much it is to start your ‘dream bussiness’.As like anyone I do not have much money and I am really starting ona shoe string buget. Also what if I do not have enough to start because of bills. Sometimes I thing people will get into this and thing that they wil have enough to pay the bills by making that extra dollar, but what if that doesn’t happen and then again one gets disappointed and has to start over or worse yet not start at all. I would really like to start something, but with money being so tight what can one do? I do like the videos, thaough as they are good and clean and easy to hear.

  22. I was thinking of what success means to me while I was listening to the video, so does that mean I was cheating? Maybe its because the idea of success has always been formost in my mind. I came with three strong answers and I think that is because these points have been in my mind for so long. I mentioned before in my comments about Celeritism and I know that this is what I need to achieve my success.

  23. Hi Steve,That was great – I have done a couple of similar exercises before, this one was excellent.  I have a better idea now of what success means to me.  Thanks for the great training program, I am looking forward to more of the same from you!

  25. I am always looking for inspiring people to help me along in life.  Thank you.  I liked the exercise.  My first thought always seems to center around acquiring wealth.  But after that it all seems to boil down to happiness and helping others.  I’m sure my legacy will be not for being wealthy but for helping others to accomplish their dreams.

  26. Hello Steve,So far the blogs have all been very insightful and valuable – great job and thank you for the very high quality information that is so generously given.  This exercise worked pretty well for me.  I had a little trouble getting started but after a few rounds the thoughts did start popping up, and I was able to get a little flowing writing out after some time, as you predicted.  I am curious about what your recommendation would be as far as repeating a process such as this on a periodic basis, as some kind of regular review/revisiting of goals/habits/values is a typical part of many personal development systems.  Is this something you do for yourself every few years?  Thanks, Kevin

  27. Hey Steve, funny thing I have owned my own semi truck for the last 10 yrs and have done very well at it, a little over a year ago I was introduced to health product that has been a life saver to me, I signed up to get it whole sale and found others making a very good living at this so I decided to try it out. Oh boy I have been to every training seminar, training tapes from the best of the best, bought the hand out tapes, bought the leads, I have never failed at anything before, I am a people person, I can talk about anything.     I know this program is not free and should not be, your time, and experiance, I’m sure you get paid very well for your training, where I’m at right now is I put forth 1000% to get started, If I don’t see a return on my investment at some point I have to say enough, before I do end up living pay check to pay check.Thank You Stacey

  28. First and a surprise…seeing my mother loving me, then several material things, THEN breaking new ground in health care, back to knowing I am loved and being safe, then being a spiritual counselor, helping people in their spiritual growth, having a spiritual center, producing books and CD/DVDs, speaking to large audiences, knowing I am loved by my children and being with them.  Feels right!

  29. HI Steve,I enjoyed this exercise very much, and it wasn’t until my last thought that I felt I hit it on the head!  I wrote the question, “I will know I am successful when…”  The first thing that came to mind was when “I can spend more time with my horses” – strange, but true.  I went through several scenarios including when, “I love my job”, “I don’t have to worry about paying my bills”, etc.  My final answer was truly amazing – it’s so abstract – it has no monetary value.  I simply wrote, “I am healthy, the right weight, physically fit, sleep well and no longer have anxiety issues or panic attacks”.  That’s what success means to me.  I didn’t know that.  Thank you so much for this amazing exercise.  I had no idea there is such a physical element regarding my success.  May the healing begin.  I plan on posting my little piece of paper somewhere important :) With GratitudeTammy

  30. My answers seem so general.  I kept trying to think what I would write down before I opened my eyes.  I found the exercise more difficult than I thought it would be.

Steve,I know i am successful when…I treat every person as the most important person in the world.I am completely at peace with myself and at peace with God,the giver of my life.I am healthy, wealthy, wise, over flowing with thankfulness. This exercise is powerful, looking forward to the next step.

  33. I like the exercise, but being a 55 year old young woman with property and no profession, it is difficult to think about success the way I would like.  First of all, I have been trying to find my purpose in life which I would enjoy and which can generate sufficient income that I can become “successful”.

  36. Let’s see, your instructions were to fill this out first, then do the exercise.  Should be interesting.  I’m 62, haven’t really had a dream in my life, well, I wanted to be a 6′8″ starting QB in the NFL as a kid (got to 5′9″ and quit playing at 13 because we moved where there was no football team).  Dropped out of HS at 16, joined the Army and made a career.  Combat in Viet Nam, point man in Airborne Infantry and LRRP teams.  I got a commission and then wanted to be a company commander in combat….however, Viet Nam ended before I got there.  Since then it has been sales and marketing, and I became an Eastern Catholic priest.  Left the priesthood, wife had a hard time with it.  Became #1 with an MLM that BK’d.  Then I just quit.  I dunno, just quit.  I’m going to try real hard, but dream?  Whew, that’s a tough one.

  37. Hi Steve,
Thanks very much for this exercise! It was a very neat experience to “open my eyes” after doing the breathing and “out would pop my true desires for success.” After I read what I wrote, I felt that the writing came from my heart. I’m so grateful to you for creating this course!

  38. Steve, loving your videos. Learning alot about myself. So far I am a lifestyle guru that would be a great proprietor.  This exercise started out predictable but the last 2 times I asked the question I seem to have hit new ground. Sometimes, I just wish I could be knocked out and given truth serum and a trusted friend could just ask me all the big questions and I could get past all my blocks and past conditioning. It just feels like I’m so bogged down with should and ought to that I can’t get past it.  I don’t usually write this kind of stuff so maybe this exercise did more than I first realized?

  39. Hi Steve,
This is a great exercise. It is helpful to put all the things I know I want all on one page
I like to think I am ready to move in the critical gap of where I am to where I would like to be.

  40. hmmm, the thoughts that came up for me about success had more to do with feelings and inner states of being than with outer material possessions – things like happiness, love, inner peace and acceptance.  But also a world wide organization funded by a multimillion dollar Foundation, and living in a community that supports solar power, organic gardening, and lots of resources and venues for artists, musicians, and kids. yeah, that feels really good : )  Thanks Steve. I’ll use this to stay focused and motivated for sure.

  44. Hi AllThank you all for sharing all the wonderful thoughts.  Very insightful and enlightened.I wanted to note a couple of things that might help you further.I recognize that with the ‘economic turmoil’ you are facing it can be challenging to let go of money fears or concerns as they relate to starting a business. What I would like ot point out though is that if you have fears or concerns about money that are stoppng you from pursuing your desires, then you are being ‘tricked’ or deceived by your subconscious mind.  It may sound something like this: “How can I start a business if I don’t have any money?”  Or, “I need to secure my financial future first and then I can risk starting a business.”This ‘conversation’ is evidence of subconscious limiting beliefs about what is necessary to start a business.  They are not truths, just beliefs.I have started dozens of business with no money at all.  I am going to show you how to breakthrough these subconscious success saboteurs in a future video.  For now, just recognize that thery are there and do you best to ‘ignore’ them. When you define success for yourself allow nothing to limit your thoughts about what is possible…Don’t allow your mind to edit or restrain your vision of success.  Instead spell it out like it really is.I also noted that several of you are anxious to get to the building phase of your business or have your current businesses begin producing more quickly.I understand…believe me.  Let me encourage you with the knowledge that we are going to get you there. It is the awarness you are developing in this step by step process that will empower you to either find your perfect business (or refine your current business) and guarantee your success.Thank you all. You are amazing.Steve

  45. hi, steve, hi people, nice to come here, watch the new video and read what others have to say. i am sharing with you my experience with this exercise. i did it like steve suggested, from the first to the last step. i wrote:“success is: ….” breath three times with my eyes closed, relaxing, saying to myself that i don’t have a prefered answer, i just want to know. i opened my eyes, look at the question in front of me,and i didn’t get the answer at all. so i wrote “?”so, i want succes, and i don’t know what it is? nice begining…thank you steve for this blog, i feel lucky that i got here (thanks chuck for sending me this url :) ) then i wrote, to make it little easier:“my success is: ……. ” and i got an answer this time.i acctualy got a visualisation. i’ve got a vision of me and all my friends climbing to the top of a mountain, through woods, feeling joyfull, feeling that we are on a right path, and that everything gets better with every step. i start to fell happines while visualisating this movie with everchanging setup.  i remeber myself when i was a kid climbing through such landscape, felling great while climbing and getting to the top of the hill.so i wrote: “my success is feeling joy and excitement while climbing (in good company)” well, this is beginning, at least.to get it more precisely, i wrote next question:” i know i am succesfull, because …… ” and answer was a suprising one: “i know i am successful because i have followers” surprising answer, but very real – i enjoy working with kids, and kids are natural born followers. :) so, steve, you have a real succes – in my eyes, while making this network of followers.  and i am pleased that i see you are enjoing it.  i have a feeling i am on a right path watching and listening to you, and implementing what you say. i continue with this last question, that clearly works for me, and i will share with you my more defined answers, when i get them.thank you steve for these lessons. you are doing it in an excellent way. best regards to all of you, and let everything you all got as answers become thruth, as soon as possible, friendly, majda

  46. Very interesting exercise.  At first, my answers didn’t surprise me, although the detail was amazing.  When I asked a second time, my answers moved from material items to having the ability to hire people for certain tasks in order to free up my time and energy.  Asking a third time, my answers were all related to overcoming fears, criticisms and limitations.  Now there is some food for thought.

  47. Hi Steve, Love your video. I noticed that in the beginning my succes story was a little bit scattered, but further on (the breathing helps very well) I went in some deeper layers. It was funny to discover that sucess to me, is not only about material things but also about doors opening to new worlds, meeting new people and activities. Do you know, what I discovered, too? That when I’m succesful, I never can doubt about my self anymore! Funny, isn’t it. I think that this affirmation alone helps already to get my success! I also noticed, that what my success brings to the world is exactly the same I’m doing when pursuing my dream: to use the talents we have.

Posted By: Laura | 10:38 am
  48. Dearest Steve,      This is the first time I have ever heard you speak. Wow! I thank God for people like you, who freely give of their knowledge and talents, and look good doing it. You are incredible. This info. is such an eye opener. I certainly  never thought this exercise would bring me to tears. I ended up with 13 things on my list, mostly about healthy relationships and peace of mind. But the two that really stood out were about my entrepreneurial dreams, 6.2 million dollars worth of dreams to even begin. Coming from where I’m currently at that seems totally preposterous. But this little “First Thoughts Game” is amazingly revealing. And I truly believe that, ultimately, there is no-one who can ever stop me from achieving my goals and dreams except for me. I have been my own worst enemy. I have believed for 23 years all the lies that family and supposed friends have told me, that I would and could never do it. Shame, shame, shame on me. No more. Thanks a million. I will accomplish my goals. I will make my dreams a reality. I can do it, and I will do it. And you will certainly be on my list of people to be recognized for my success. I so look forward to hearing you speak again, and I look forward to my future. Today is the first day of the rest of my life. I Will join you someday at the top. Sooner, not later. In peace, Abigail

  51. Hi Steve,                 Did the exercise but did’nt seem to work for me. My subconscious appears to be in control so I think I will have to do it a few more times to find out. Can anyone comment on that and let me know if it gets easier or more meaningful the more you do it.    Thank you.    Vincent.

  52. Hi Steve,Did the exercise and all the things that I have been longing for came to the surface. Finacial Freedom to enter the mission field and have the money to make a real difference in the lives of hurting children all over the world is my goal. To be able to pay off my home and the bills so I can travel to where the most need is at the moment. Or the be able to go to the next crisis to help. I know that I have a lot to offer to the hurting children.  Having to worry every month if I will make all of my bills prevents me from doing any good for anybody. Thank you for what you are doing for us,Sharon

  53. If I succeed to reach a desired goal then I have had success in that instance.  For me success is the happy outcome of a trial to obtain something. Also I feel successful if I obtain other peoples positive acknowledgement for my efforts.

  54. Hey Steve,  Thanks for this video. It was an eye opener! The exercise given has lined out directions to fulfill my being.  I have gone thru quite a bit in life never analyzing it this way. I reckon it’s time to hone down the knife (life) and put a real edge on it.

  55. Hi Steve,Thank you. This is amazing and very enlightening, although not new to me as I have read some very goob self-help manuals. I have been thrown on the scrap heap of life as I have just turned 59 and have recently recovered from cancer, this makes me virtually un-employable. Previously I built my own design company to the top of the tree only to lose everything in the property crash 1992. I have turned my hand to many things in the name of survival which meant I have been extremely unhappy and I am sure this has contributed to my recent illness. As your previous test showed I am a born entrepreneur and I realise I must make my own future again from nothing. I am very scared and full of fear but I have nothing to lose, because I have already lost it! I so want control over my life and to actually have a life worth living again as sometimes I think I should have let the cancer get me and saved the NHS a fortune. I think like this on a bad day but there is one thing for sure I won’t go quietly. Thanks again for your help it has come along when I most need it.Diane .

  56. I am like Bruce.  I thought your instructions were to answer some questions first and then view the video.  But it only come out if the video is viewed first then the questions are posed.  NOw I don’t know Bruce, but I don’t think either of us is stupid.  This glitch made me wonder if I would ever learn from you.The exercise was great.  I know success is not money.  I’ve done that. So I find success for me calmness (or order) and beauty.  Or as the Navajos say “Nizhoni”

  57. Hi Steve,I am writing without planning. Here is what came to me spontaneously. It is a good way.I know when I am succsessful when:I am enlightened
    I love all people
I don’t HAVE to do anything
I don’t have the pain (I have a pain now)Everywhere is my homeI can give the world the best I can beNature (I saw nature when I read the question)I see peaceI see love and life flows with endless beautyI see people loveNo pollutionClear mindCreating all the timeBeautiful worldPeace. These are the responses that came through me. I realize that this is where I am going and what I have to do. Not HAVE TO, as if someone compells me, but have to because this is natural to me and I’d rather not stop it.Crazy as it is, I think it is true.I am a little behind, so this response to your exercise comes some two or three days after you posted that video.

Thank you again! My 1st answer was ‘Being a Kitten’?????????Made sense (to me) after going back later and asking what that was all about.Last answer (so far) was ‘rubbing elbows with famous persons’Certainly going to do this again and again! Perhaps once a day til I think I have it. So many societal beliefs to knock out of the park. Cool!

  65. Most of what came up for me was changing my failing past which has a lot to do with improved health, social reconnections, rather than making millions. I’ve got a lot of demons from childhood that are important to rid myself of.

  66. Hi Steve,Interesting, the first time I did this exercise, several weeks ago, my answers were mostly all about the really nice ’things’ I have always wished for in my life but today I found they were much more about myself and whom I wish to become. Thanks again for all that you so generously offer:)

  67. This is a straightforward and easy method.  I like the way you have removed the clutter of the process already.  If one does this a few times at different times, we should all begin to bring focus to our deepest desires.  Many I already know and have targeted but some I was afraid to put a number and name to.  Good stuff.

  69. Hi, Steve,This was really great. Puts a whole different spin on “success” as a goal.I agree that without a laser-like definition, acheivement is likely impossible.Keep up the great work. I appreciate the efforts.

    Posted By: David G | 5:15 pm
  70. hi steve. this exercise was something i already new (without trying to sound arrogant). you have to know what you want much like setting yourself goals. unfortunatly in this current climate and even before this current climate. in business you have to have money first to get the things you need such as rent, utilities, fixtures and fittings, stock, website, hosting, getting a website done for you if you don’t know how to do it yourself, get a list of domain names, and most important get a business plan. but without money you might as well give up right now. i am disabled (this is to give you an idea of how hard i have been treated) however i did a number of business courses all of which i passed. after which i thought there would be some funding or grants that could help me get started … but the grants and funding were either stopped or i had to be of a certain age or it was no where near the ammount that i need to get started. so i went to the banks, building societies, loan companies (legit ones i hassen to add) and they all turned me down flat. i don’t have a family or friends that can help me out. so i have given up trying.the one loan company that said yes was the Royal British Legion (i live in England). and thats the eqivolent to your Veterans Assosiation roughly. said yes we can give you a loan but we will need a business plan. now i don’t know about business plans from adam (it was not a course i covered). but how hard would you think it would be to get one done for me based on what i said? well i tryed to get one done, but every so called government run scheme said sorry we cannot help you. so to recap i have no business plan, no money and no future in business without them two essentail things. that is reality and it bites. i still have my plan of what success means to me, that bit is easy. it’s the getting started with im having all the trouble with.

  71. Very simple yet very powerful. Thank you!

Posted By: vesna | 5:51 pm
  72. Hi Ray – I appreciate you sharing your opinion and the overview of your experience thus far.I am going to challenge you a little. This exercise is not about goal setting.  It is not actually about know what you want.  It is more about understanding what success is to you.If you are defining success in terms of the accomplishment of goals, you will never experience it.There is an important distinction for everyone to understand.  The distinction results vs accomplishments.  They are not at all the same. Results are measured in utility….this much money, this big a house, etc.Accomplishments are measured in relation to purpose….that is what are you going to DO with the money and the house when you have it…..Until I understood this distinction all of the money in the world would not bring me the experience of success.Let me encourage you to consider this distinction as you go forward with the next lesson. While I understand that the rest of what you shared looks like factual truth, what I would like you to consider is that it is only in your experience because it is what you believe.Clearly your conscious mind sees your experience and makes the conclusions you’ve shared.  But the truth is, your subconscious mind believe that this is as i should be and so it is your experience.  This is a fundamental truth the most successful people in history all understand. You must learn to control your mind….more specifically your subconscious mind. You’ll learn more about that in future posts.  For the time being consider this question:If your every experience in life is determined by your subconscious beliefs.  And if this is the experience you are having, then what must your subconscious believes is true?I’m standing for all that is possible for you in life and business.Steve

  73. Awesome exersize,  will do more of it. Since I  write down the very first thought that pops up into my mind, I was surprised, or actually riminded that there were some useless formulation for success . For example , success is being without money, or success is temporary. Funny ain’t it.  This brings me to the conclusion that we all are successfull already. I am really very successfull of having no money, and  It is not hard at all. It is very hard not to be successfull,  I keep trying and trying but I always succeed.   Thanks Steve , sometimes we just need one little piece of the puzzle to get the big picture.

  74. Great tool Steve. I always have had a “notion” of what sucess means to me. This excercise automatically focused and clarified the “vision ” of that picture. Now my problem is trying to keep calm about leaping at it with reckless abandon or maybe that’s the point. Thank you for being. I have no idea how I connected with you but again thank for being.  A very grateful and exhilarated Neil

  75. Steve,For me it’s about having peace with God and myself, family, financial stability, and being able to share my gift with others who need and hopefully appreciate it.  Thank you for this assignment.  I don’t know if you are able to assist with this question, but I attended a full day workshop today with storesonline and found it very interesting.  I have three days to decide if I will make a commitment.  Do you know anything about storesonline?  It seems like a good resource for doing any type of business.  Any advice?  Thanks.

  76. Hi Steve,    I have done the exercise once more , and I wanted to thank you again for what you are doing for me for us. Success as you said is definitely about what I  can do with it once I have it. I felt compelled to share with you what it means to me to be successful.  Success is when I am able to help my friends, my family, relatives and those who seek help on those three levels  financial , emotional, and spiritual.  I would like to be able to travel around the world, learn from adepts of each level and share the knowledge and experience when I am back home. Also successful   I would be If I live an abundant life very close to nature in every way possible.cheersLubo

  78. Hey Steve – this is my third attempt to write my first two nobel candidates offerred up to your blog didn’t make it. And I really thought it would benefit mankind as well as get my message out to the contributors on this post.  Ahhhh  ok ok ok I am better, please let this attempt succeed.  Back to the program, I have done this exercise on paper prior to this day. (God Bless Mr. Bruce above at 62, Please sir I salute you and please know that Colonel Sanders (Kentucky Fried Chicken fame) didn’t even start marketing his recipe (at that was door to door to boot) until he was 65 years of age.    I learned from Steve’s exercise to go back to basics and get good at it.  I will know that I am successful when I no longer concern myself with the cost of doing what I want and when I want and where I want.  And to have an income/business on auto- pilot with perpetual drops of sweet nectar of residual wealth.

  79. hi steveThis is a great exercise. Throwing it back to myself makes me realise that success has to come from the inside rather than relying on ‘what I should wan’t’ according to some external ‘thing’. Also that success for me means helping others to get more of what they want too. One of the things that seems to happen is that the notion of success gets deeper with each ‘first thought’ once I realise that the superficialities are not what I really want but they reflect something I feel I ‘need’ to be whole that I don’t feel I have yet (e.g. freedom from limiting beliefs)Thanks

Posted By: Clive | 11:54 pm
  80. Hi Steve, Once again, thanks for an opportunity to do more reflection about what I really want. Even though I have done similar exercises, I think I mistakenly sent my “subconcious the memo” when I completed them! So quite a bit of what I have focussed on is more what I think I “should ” do, what others have been successful at doing etc. I think ( for me) that the key is not to consider revisiting my defenitions etc over and over again as a failure or to be discouraged in anyway but to imagine and create the possibilities once I decide to jump thorugh the window……..? I  look forward to learing more!

  81. Hi Steve,
Because I have done quite a lot of self-exploration in the past few years (recuperating from a heart attack), I had no real surprises from this exercise. It tended to confirm what I have come to, not just as my definition of success, but also that it coincides with my goals. Finally, after many years of searching, I know what I want for myself. I just need help finding ways to make this manifest.
    Thanks for all your help.

  84. Requesting your take on this one [please], Steve.Another great technique, sir.  I believe I achieved a ’correct’ state of mind – whereby it entered a ‘clear’ state . . . on demand!  [I wouldn't have believed this state to be achievable other than through such as meditation].  Either I have gained a skill of which I was unaware, or you affected this state in a manner that I did not detect.  This technique very effectively bypassed [circumvented, more accurately] the ‘gatekeeper’ of the subconscious mind.  For me, it would seem that my subconscious yielded unrestricted answers . . . although I admit to them having been far more ‘ordered’ than I would have expected.  I did not attempt to control thoughts that came to me – knowing that a similar mechanism of brainstorming would be thwarted by so doing – and yet my thoughts came forth in a manner that I would describe as having been so concise as to be ’scary.’  Interesting exercise Steve.  The response was so effortless as if to have come from another person.  I must assume this to be evidence that I have come to know myself fairly well . . . or, more likely, that my subconscious has entered a state of conformance to my conscious intentions.  I have certainly invested enough time and effort towards that end to justify its consideration.  Your ‘take’ please?  [This one was a distinct surprise to me.  I have long considered myself somewhat adept with respect to the subconscious.] Thanks again, Steve.  Have a great day.Glenn B. in Cleveland, OH

  89. Hello again Steve,Interesting exercise. I have done similar things before & am aware of the limiting beleifs I harbour in my subconcious. However, this exercise did produce some new insites. It’s almost as if we all follow a similar pattern – first wealth based, followed by helping others and then on to more spiritually based outcomes.Like many others, my greatest success would be not HAVING to work so that I had the freedom to help others (not sure how, yet, though).A quick note for Ray – if he’s reading these. All the banks here in the UK provide a business start-up pack that includes a business plan template (LLoyds Bank seems to be especially good) that is very easy to use – and helps you plan ahead. I’d suggest you just ask your bank for one of these packs – no need to go into details – & get stuck in. You don’t need to have been on a course, common sense is the only qualification you need. If you have no luck, I could get one for you if there’s some way we can hook up via this blog.Back to you Steve. Thanks again for all your information (and time).Regards, not so Frustrated Steve.

  90. Hm. I thought having an automated website bringing in a steady stream of income would be “success” before today’s video, Steve. But I find my success will feel likethe best use of my hands, head and heart — challenges and puzzles, focused workwith a comfy chair to curl into between times, not feeling rushed but certainly en-gaged. As Michael noted: “Having a Happy Heart”.I did want to note to Doris: We did not find storesonline to be a fun experience, inthe long run. By the time I had a how-to product written/photoed/down-loadable, and almost had building a website figured out, they wanted more money. AND theywill keep the domain name you “buy” so you can’t take it elsewhere, losing any bitsof recognition you build while under their auspices. Storesonline is under fire inthe courts from disgruntled purchasers, so … we wish we hadn’t spent the money.Stick with Steve. You can always find a college student willing to build a site andprobably walk you through getting it on the web, for free or very cheaply. You can’tcall back money wasted on someone else’s pipedream.

  93. I do this exercise periodically…learned it in a course in Aus…and come up with different details at different times…but have a basic need for a secure, serene ”nest” from which to go forth and contribute positively to the world, with works and/or donations, working with a schedule of my choosing, with time to spend with friends and pets.  A great view, openness, and lots of sunlight are in my nest.  Hadn’t done it for awhile.  Thanks for bringing it back to the forefront…I’ll have to update my vision board!

  96. Steve, thanks again for opening my mind to the possibilities we each have.  An odd thought came to me during this exercise.  I remembered back to middle and high school (I’m now 60) where it was a risk to dream for fear of not having the “right” answers for the teacher.  I almost felt a stiffling feeling while breathing, thinking about having to answer all the questions correctly.  Where was the option for open questioning and discussion of alternative possible answers? Note: I was a school teacher for six years in my twenty’s and probably played that same game!!  I think it would be great to go volunteer as a teacher to an open forum high school class to let those students open up their minds and get there questions answered through their own research and inter-acting with others.  No grades, just questions (based on study), answers based on research and results based on both.Doug

  97. Hi Steve, Thanks again for another great video. I have done this exercise in several different ways and it always amazes me the results I get. It is so true that you can’t achieve something unless you know it’s definition. I mean how can you achieve success unless you know what it truely means to you. Not what others define as success, but what it really means to each of us as individuals. I just wanted to add a point for others to think about here. When you get those visions of your success, take notice of the feeling/s that you have. Does your heart race? Do you feel excited? I bet you do! You can use that vision and those feelings to focus yourself towards your desired results. It’s the feeling of success. If you can feel it now, as if it already IS, it will come to you alot easier and faster. Use the feeling to juice yourself, cultivate the feeling of success every day, use your vision of success every day. Feel it, think it and then you will live it.  Thanks again Steve, looking forward, as always to your next video. Sincerely Nichole Craney

  98. Excellent exercise! I came up with:

SUCCESS IS: when I am determined to persevere in whatever circumstance I’m in in order to reach my goals.
SUCCESS IS: spending quality time, having fun with my wife WHENEVER I desire.
SUCCESS IS: offering value to the lives of others.
SUCCESS IS: being obedient to God in all things.
SUCCESS IS: living a life of abundance in order to give.
SUCCESS IS: never, never, never giving up on life!!

These are reminders of what I’ve already come up with in my life being a minister. Thanks!

  99. Dear SteveThis blog is by far one of the best resources I have ever come across and I am still amamzed by how generously you share your time and expertise. I wasn’t surprised by the answers I got to my definition of success because I feel that since venturing into the work I do I have developed a great deal of clarity and committment to my Life Purpose. But I am so excited about seeing the answers on paper as tangible reminders of what I had given intent to but needed to really focus in on. I resonate a lot with Robert Anthony’s answers. As I am also a minister of the Lord, i would like to connect with him in some way. I’m very new to blogging and the world of Web 2.0 so please provide some guidelines about how to go about making connections like this.
One of the things I wrote in my definition of success is: All my ideal contacts accept an invitation to one of my orgaisations’ Showcase Events in South Africa in 2010. You are one of the top 10 people of my list of ideal contacts and I am referring all of my friends who want to start new businesses or expand their network marketing ventures to this site so here’s to your success too!  Thank you for a very valuable resource.

    Hi Tabitha

First thank you for your kind (even effusive) words for support and encouragement.

I am not sure how to tell you to connect with Robert. Perhaps you will both join ThePerfectBizFinder Program and meet in the Membership Community. At least that would be a powerful intention to set.

I would consider it a great privilege to speak at one of your companies showcase events. I enjoy Africa a great deal. Another powerful intention for you to set, no?

    Thanks for being here.

  100. Hi Steve!Thank you so much for helping me (and everybody). I wrote “What is Success to Me?” at the top of the paper, closed my eyes – took 3 very deep breaths, opened my eyes and wrote this down:Being able to do whatever I want whenever I want with all the money to do it and buy whatever I want and never worry about running out of money. I will have my own home and nobody can ever take it away from me again (paid off)  I will be able to help others unconditionally and that will feel so good

    GREAT WORK Vicki,

Can I suggest that you now write it as if it as already happened and release the attachment to any possibility of anything that negates your accomplishment? For instance, instead of ‘I will’ state is as if you do now…. “I own my home outright.” Also omit statements like “never worry about running out of money” and “nobody can ever take it away”. These carry powerfully negative attachments into your intentions that can sabotage you.

Your subconscious places them into you awareness as signals about what you really believe…For example by including the statement “never worry about running out” or “nobody can take it away” what you are really seeing is that your subconscious believes that is you DO have all that money then you will have to worry, and if you Do have a home of your own someone WILL come to take it away.

Because that is what you subconscious believes … it will cause you to make decision and take actions, no mater how subtle to keep you from having the money and the house…as a way to avoid the negative experience of worry and loss.

    Make sense?

We explore this kind of thing in a great deal more depth within ThePerfectBizFinder Program. By teaching you how to deal with these innocent looking traps your mind sets for you we empower you to accomplish everything you want.

    Steve

Have much about being comfortable financially and also emotional things.  This exercise I found myself focusing on emotional wellbeing.  Wonder if perhaps it’s because I hear one message from coaches in the business I’m currently in that really don’t help me focus and find success.

  103. Hello Steve,
This whole program is coming into my life at the perfect time. Thus far in my life, I’ve allowed myself to be very successful in terms of the development of my inner resources. Now I feel my inner Self urging me (my small self) to open up and turn my attention to my “outer” life, encouraging me to develop the skills I need to “draw to me everything that I need to be and feel supported at a physical level.” The fact that I drew in your program is proof to me that I’m already doing this. Thanks for having it out “there” and available. I look forward to manifesting more and more success in my “outer” world with the help and support of this program. As I explore the meaning of success to me, I find success to be an endlessly rich and multi-faceted experience with many, many layers to explore. Life ahead looks like a lot of fun!

  105. Hey Steve,Again I say WOW! I have always felt positive with my inner drive but this was the very first time I have ever took a course studying Me. I must say you have enlighten me to the extent that I look forward to each video with you. Now, when I did this exercise I  had planned to do it again as you suggested and also ask my husband to do it too. Unfortunately, the day I asked him, he too was falling asleep . He has always worked hard for our family and I always wanted to do more to “help out” This is why I chose to  excel online. Before studying with you, I knew only what I felt, Also have been told most of my Life that I have a inner drive where I am not afraid to tackle any task and was always complimented on this. In the new millennium is when I dove into working in  NASCAR and then 4 years later the Internet  I have been  learning my skills and now I am taking action in different types of marketing. I do tackle this I did anything else  in my past.  So when I did this exercise I felt overwhelmed and scared I was so very tired w that I have had some rest..And go into this with my eyes closed but not sleepy. So when I open them I am not already in a sub conscious state. I shall let you know how it turns out my second time around.. I do have strong traits although I really wonder why it somewhat scared me to do this exercise. (Maybe it was just as simple as being very tired) I will be doing it once again to see how I matched up . I was at the point of falling asleep while my eyes were closed. No excuses Steve, just a fact I had a very trying day. Which makes me wonder what will be the same or different when I repeat this. Thank you for being here.

I see the value of being able to use it in many situations to get clearance and guidance. Now, my points put into a sentence were:1.Achieving my goals and 2.running the race for a purpose of  2.helping others. 3. am counting the days,  to 4.finishing the task, 5.solve problems and  6.enjoy life! This was fun and relaxing.Nanette

  107. Hi Steve I have done the sucess excercise once a day for 3 days now it still leaves me with one blank. I learned a lot about what success means to me some surprises but it stops short on one thing. Every time I have done it I get “teaching others how to….” then nothing more. Any suggestions? or should I just wait and see what comes I will continue to focus and ask the question. Thanks Judy

    Hi Judy,

    Thank you for your comment.

Clearly you have a block there. But it may not be where you think it is. It may be that the ‘what to teach’ is blocked or it may be that the ‘teaching itself’ is blocked.

In other words, perhaps you have a (limiting) belief that you don’t have expertise in a topic of interest to other. Or perhaps, while you are confident in a topic, you have a (limiting) belief about you capacity to teach or to put together a teaching venue.

I can’t really tell without knowing more of the specifics.

I can say that this is the very kind of thing I teach you how to deal with in ThePerfectBizFinder Program. You will emerge crystal clear and completely empowered to build exactly what you want.

I’d obviously encourage you to consider participating in in the program.

At very least stick with the lessons here in the free video blog and see if something frees up for you.

    Sincerely,

    Steve

Thank you for your comment. I totally understand and appreciate what you’ve shared.

I would like to offer a perspective worth your consideration.

While it appears logical to ‘deal with’ your financial constraints before you take on the ‘life enhancing’ stuff, the truth is, focusing on your personal growth and the enhancement of your life experience is the fastest and most permanent vehicle to eliminating your financial struggle.

I totally ‘get’ that this flies in the face of conventional wisdom and what you may have been taught.

But the truth is creating success in all 7 areas of your life experience:

    - Finance and Money
    - Business or Employment
    - Recreation and Fun
    - Health and Fitness
    - Relationships
    - Community

begins and ends with developing yourself and what’s going on between your ears.

Start there and the money shows up.

Let me encourage you to consider joining me in ThePerfectBizFinder Program so we can crack the code to your success together.

    Sincerely,

    Steve

  112. That was a wonderful exercise Steve.  It felt really good to just let the answers that lie within me just come to the surface and show themselves.  It is exactly the way I love to live my life so it resonated with me completely.  Also, I love the answers! Thanks again,Lisa

  113. Hi Steve!Great video and thank you very much!!!!So what success is for me?financial freedom,to make money online as an affiliate so i can sell products that they have value so i can help other people to change their life and i think that is very important!!!to do what ever i want and to accomplish all my goals to live the lifestyle i want and to share, inspire and help as many people as i can to make their dreams true!!!! I think that my thoughts are pure and i strongly believe that we are here to create a better world first of all for ourselves and then for everyone we come in contact with..that is success!!!!Nikos from Greece!

  114. Hi Steve,I went from two word answers to 3 lines.  This is a great excercise!!  Thank you so much.

  115. I think my answers may be a bit superficial so I might have to do the exercise again.  Generally though success equals freedom from and to, for me.  Thanks for this.

  116. I desire a lot more ’stuff’ than I thought I did and I am ultra ambitious. Overall beyond having loving nurturing relationships throughout my life; success means the freedom to create my dream life and then have the ability to turn my back on it if I desire to, knowing I can create it all again just for the fun of it

  117. Steve,  I like your style.  You take what could be a complicated concept and make it easy.  Your simple exercise has helped me be more clear; I realize that success to me is more the feeling of accomplishment than something tangible like the mansion, fancy car, etc.  Just as the blindfolded archer cannot hit the target he cannot see, so one cannot hit the target one does not have.  Thanks!

Posted By: Gail | 8:11 pm
  118. Wow! This was a great exercise! I did it 4 times, and in none of those 4 times did the answer come out being “stuff.” It was really about how I feel about myself. Not quite Descartes — not “Cogito ergo sum,” but more what I am grateful for and feeling like I have accomplished something.

  119. Hi Steve, like the exercise, it actually turned to be very interesting.I did the exercise 5-6 times, and every time I came up with different idea. The only thing is that it is not the first time I’m doing it. Every time I’m coming up with things that are repeating myself again and again. My question is how to recognise the “real” from the thoughts of trained subconscious mind. Because I came up with my DAY Dreaming staffAfter deep breath at first try, my thoughts were jumping all over, and I had to go back and try to relax again and again, and different thoughts would jump up.
Exercise is great and I probably can write a book about it. So I cut it short and look forward to hear from you on how to master the streams of free mind separated from subconscious mind attacks.
    Thanks,
    Alex

  120. HiThanks for the video. I don’t have a problem identifying what success would be for me; the problem is more like I can see no way to get to it.  I have tried a few things on the internet with no results whatsoever. I am a bit leery of affiliate marketting as there are so many junky products in flashy wrappers out there and I don’t want to be associated with them, but how to tell? I can’t afford to buy them all to check them out!It is undoubtedly the lifetime of working for others which when combined with the total lack of any results in the things I have tried on the internet are making me feel locked in place. I can visualize what success would be..but I can’t visualize how in the world I am ever going to get there.

  123. Granted. The ceiling of my success has not yet been reached. Indeed, I have yet to enjoy various stairs on the way up. Visualizing “up there” is a useful exercise in the ascent and in enjoyment. My limiting beliefs no doubt hinder my ascent.      What bothers my mind about the visualization process, however, is the valid, just, and good limitations or boundaries or parameters that divine Providence places on the universe in general and me in particular. Like the law of gravity. Or the golden rule — do unto others … .     That is, my ideal of success may not be God’s ideal or may entail what violates God’s ideal for me. Of course, God has not necessarily told me I should not live in that place, enjoy certain benefits, or receive certain successes … but God defines my success better than I can, and my ideal of success, insofar as it is mine, cannot wholly escape being self-centered in opposition to God-centered.     Granted, partly I receive and will receive God’s own ideals for me through His providential work. And yes, part of His providential work may be for me to envision and to receive certain ideals of success. But I cannot and should not think of my ideals of success in the absence of the idea of deference to Providence. Even as a mental exercise, my conscience speaks against such a divorce.

  125. Hi Steve,I absolutely enjoyed this exercise. I love anything that brings forth more clarity of vision, and this is a phenomenal tool. What you said really did ring true for me, the first 3 items were off my conscious mind, but on the 4th I took off and listed 2 pages worth of visions without thinking or questioning and discovered more clarity and astounding ideas than I thought I’d had in the first place! Thanks so much for all of your guidance,John

  126. That was very interesting. For many years (I am old) my dream was to have a ranch where I could rescue horses, llamas, donkies, and any throw away animal that people no longer wanted.  This is still my dream even though I am old, I am trying to find a business that I can do that will allow me to accomplish the fulfillment of this dream. However, it is getting difficult to find a legitimate business opportunity that willaccomplish this in the short time I have left to make this dream into a reality.  Your theories are wonderful and I have no doubt that we are probably our worst enemyin accomplising success by negative thinking.  Thanks again for your help.Donna

  128. Steve, For each individual there are different measures of success and different measures for each of us at different times and areas in our lives. The exercise allows you to visualize  those factors which you may be able to control but not those that other persons to whom you relate are in control.  Unfortunately, we are often related in various ways to persons who are not contributors to but rather are detractors from our realization of substantial success in our lives.  i will feel successful if I can minimize those relationships that are not supportive of the life I wish to live.  At this stage of my life, I realize that I am only marginally in control of anything to do with a particular relationship. The most I can do is to work on myself daily and hope others will do the same. I have started a notebook to keep  record of the various thoughts which occur during this exercise and, if it is beneficial, I will let you know. In the business area of my life, I hope to learn how to relate better to potential customers and provide them with a superior product for their investment of time, effort and money.  My primary motive is to enjoy the way I spend each moment of this life, however many moments are remaining.

Hey Steve,I was  able to really be the observer of my own success about some of the things that I really like to do especially being free from the feeling of debt and that is really cool, to even be able to just have the thought of freedom of financial stress and then I realized that I was visualizing the whole thing and that is where it all starts and this is really cool.

    Thanks Steve

  134. This is a great exercise. I’ve came up with I’m successful when I receive divine providence aligned with the experience and knowlege I already possess. I’m successful when I can align people to achieve their purpose in life. I’m successful when I can work in cooperation with other people competence. I’m successful when I finish what I start beyond what I’m capable of. I love it, thank you ! Roger

  135. The excerise was good rich and fulfilling.   It opened my eyes to me and what I really wanted out of life.  Which is to help myself successfully achieve my goals and in doing so be able to share and help others along the way. This is definitely what I needed in understanding what success means to me.  I know I must continue to review this material.  Thanks for this information, I look forward to working with you.

  136. Coming from a teaching background success means a variety of things, but i have never had to put into words like this because we planned for success of our students and ourselves. It was second nature, i did it almost unthinkingly. So what does success mean to me, here’s a few things.
    * achieving goals
    * meeting the needs of  targeted others
    * getting rid of limitations
    * being happy
    * being consciously honest wiht self and others
    * doing what is best for one-self
I know when i am successful when i am achieving my goals
    * when outcomes have been met
    * when my vision statement has been fully met

Thank you Steve, for sharing your gems with me.

  137. Hi, Steve,

Most of what came out as my definition of success was expected – except for one thing, which caught me by surprise, but when I thought about it, it made perfect sense.

Success is No Pressure.  No financial pressures, no time pressures, no people pressures.   Just complete freedom.

I’m newly retired, so I am concerned about money – my logical brain tells me I have enough, but my emotional brain is concerned.

I write a newsletter on my hobby – I recently changed it to twice a month instead of weekly, because writing for my newsletter was taking over my life.  Even with the reduced schedule, it still is.

And I teach people my hobby.  I love it, but I finding that occasionally I am getting frustrated with my students, and hoping that I am hiding my frustration.  Sometimes it’s just the feeling that “oh, crap, it’s Monday and I have students tonight” – it was better when I didn’t have that feeling, when I was still excited about teaching.

It was definitely an interesting exercise.

    Thanks

    Judy

  138. Thank you Steve,
It was a little surprising that “being at peace with myself and others” was the first thing that came to mind. After that, there was – enough $ to help others
    - travel regularly  – be financially & physically independent for my whole life.
After looking at the question “what does success mean to me”, a new thought came to mind and it was “how do I look, act, think as a successful person”. This directed my mind toward what behaviors, physical attributes, and mindset would be evident in the person that I wished to become.
That question provoked a picture in my mind of myself as healthier and more fit – dressing and acting as the elegant woman I intend to be; with the ability to exhibit the behaviors of wisdom and self-control that illustrate that my character is as classy as the physical appearance seems to suggest.
Finally, what I found most significantly, was that – I am already very successful in many areas and to different degrees. That made me feel happy and grateful, and  gratitude is so important because we will not be able to move forward until we drop our baggage from the past (which is not a once-and-done thing) so we can move on.
    Ready for the next move,
    Kimberly

  139. Hi Steve, Thanks for this exercise.  I had a reply about the exercise but I looked at the bottom of the page–ZeroLimits–that’s Dr Joe Vitale. I have his download Attract Money Now. I’ve been an admirer of his for a while, ever since I got  Beyond Positive Thinking  CD’s. Dr Robert Anthony wrote the book and Dr Joe Vitale read it on the CD’s. Needless to say it is great. I have that book and The Ultimate Secrets Of Total Self Confidence. Also great. I Nevillized a certain amount of money, it’s only been a week.  I would be thrilled if I did it right, it would enable me to afford some help to get me started in an internet business that I feel good about. I really need a different way to make an income and I need to stay home to do it. My current job is home based and that is a blessing, however it is not appropriate for me. I am tapping (EFT) to help me stay calm and positive around this. I understand somewhat about having my mind in the correct place to make things happen, having the right thoughts. It’s my thoughts that keep me in a place of lack.  I went to an EFT practitioner a week ago and experienced an instantaneous shift in energy. We worked for two hours doing tapping, acupressure and hypnosis. That experience  enabled me to shed some of my limiting beliefs about myself.  She also explained how thoughts are energy and we read them although  unconsciously.  I am thrilled to know this and the  changes in how I am thinking have kept coming everyday. I will soon be living in the place of my dreams and have the things I need and want, being the person I always knew I was. Thank you for letting me speak. Karen

  140. Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for your video. I appreciate it that this time you look straight at the camera while you talk. It makes a huge difference.
Now the amazing thing is that just before I sat down to watch your video, I completed a contemplating session, which gave birth to a goal that, if achieved, I would feel successful.
How amazing and fun life can be! You are on the right place on the right time and so am I!
Te goal I came up with was: to create and live out my own definition of life, independently of and beyond the financial system of exchange, created by others on this planet.

Thank you again, I’m looking up to your materials and do appreciate them a lot.

  141. Hello Steve,

I took a few minutes to do this excercise and there was about (5) five different definitions that came up for me. The #1 was fulfilling my journey in life. I am now thinking about the other four which stirs up some of my emotions inside of me. A very good excecise and thank you for sharing.

  143. Steve;
I did this exersize several times with no consistant results. My answers never show any type of pattern. My thoughts are many. Success to me means many different levels, I feel I could be happy with any one of them.

  144. Thank You. I have been trying to clarify “What success means to me” for a few weeks and this exercise was perfectly timed. I was able to see images, draw pictures and associate meaningful words to these in a way that previously felt stuck. The bottom line after all the specifics (such as Life, Love, Family well-being, fun and holidays, helping communities get healthy, Financial freedom and generosity) was:
Knowing I have added value and contributed to the well-being and greater good for humanity.

  145. What does Success mean to me? Wow Steve very powerful exercise. I defined success as being Literate, working less and making more, Being healthy being a good provider,
traveling to China whenever I want, being my own boss, building great business relationships, and speaking fluent Mandarin. Funny that I didn’t really think of giving back to others as you do, but I feel as if that is something that really defines success

  146. Steve,

It was a great experience! I have to say that I have always found it hard to really nail down what I want in life. That has been real frustrating. I think I have too many limiting beliefs or I think that it is bad too want too much. I grew up with depression era parents who taught me constantly how scarce money was. The exercise really opened the channels for me. I am excited to have my wife do it so we can compare.

  147. Steve, I am far from finished this exercise – it appeared on your blog at a very busy time in my current business. But I did have one session with it so far and was quite surprised at the measure in which I deep down already view myself as successful – in ways that for the moment have little to do with money. The nice thing about that is that I am saying to myself, ‘OK, maybe I want to tweak something to make it even better (kaizen, anyone?) or build on it.’ The slightly disturbing thing is the low expectations I seem to have for myself. Of course, everyone has been telling me all my life that I should have very high expectations (to whom much is given, from them much is expected), and there were very specific measures of this, in which I was normally found wanting in their sight (whoever ‘they’ were). It has taken me many years to build a basis of contentment on which to work, but I think it’s finally falling into place…

I looked back at my life with gratitude and joy at the blessings and experiences that I’ve had. 166. First I would like to thank you for putting this approach out there…As always, doing
‘baby step’ type of exercises is beneficial for anyone who really has a goal they want to obtain and by using this kind of approach enables them to take it ‘one step at a time‘.
I would assume that a lot of folk do this already…but, its good to take your time in the beginning, so that the effort is made to be important and valid. Thanx again, Don

  167. This exercise is a lot more difficult than it sounds. I still have a conditioned response. I have to do  it again. Good exercise. I can see how important it is to get in touch with a BIG CLEAR VISION. The vision that God has for me. Get into agreement with it. Then GO FOR IT! Thanks again.

  168. Hi Steve – I have a difficult time getting past my first thought – being bill free.  I guess it is a goal rather than success, but it would be a success if I was able to make enough to become bill free.  I guess defining success is very similar to goals.  Waiting patiently for yur next video.

  169. Hi Rensi,

    Thank you for you comment.

Let me suggest that you NOT focus your attention on ‘being debt free’. This serves to focus your attention on ‘debt’ and as a result, you miss the opportunities to get ‘free’.

The challenge that actually exists for you is that the ‘debt-free’ context is actually sourced by (limiting) beliefs you hold in your subconscious. While certainly want to reframe your intentions to be positive declarations of what you actually want, stated as is if it has already occurred, what you really need to do is eliminate the subconscious beliefs sourcing the debt.

This is one of the things you learn to master in ThePerfectBizFinder Program.

By learning how to deal with these ’source-beliefs’, you will become aware of opportunities that are actually all around you all the time, to provide what you want.

    Sincerely,

    Steve
