Exponential Times

One of the coaches from my PerfectBizBuilder Coaching team sent this over to me and I thought it offered a pretty amazing perspective on just how much opportunity actually exists for us all.

I KNOW times SEEM tough right now for many. But I’ve got to tell you that just as in the past, economic turmoil always creates opportunity. You may just need a pair of expert eyes to help you see it.

One BIG difference though is the rate at which this opportunity is coming at you and how positively explosive it is.

Check this out and let me know if it excites you as much as it does me:

What do you think?

If change creates opportunity (and historically it always has), then do you see how the accelerating pace of change as illustrated in this video becomes the biggest motivator of all?

Can you see why some of the “old-school” methods for entrepreneurial business success strain to deliver and how having the ongoing support of professional business success experts becomes so valuable?

What else comes to mind for you?

Please share your thoughts by commenting below:

I’m standing for all that’s possible for you in life and business (even at this pace).

Sincerely,

Steve

Hi Steve
Its a great video to understand the speed at which the things around us are changing and the birth of a new chid creates the demand. The demand is exponential and the supply i.e.opportunity has to be exponential to meet every demand.Really, world is round and small. One thing is very clear that there is no saturation level in any business because of the speed at which the needs are generated.
Thanks.
Narendra.

Hey Steve and Onkar,
I’m one of those people for which the rapid pace of change is exciting, yet frustrating. My inability to catch up– ability to learn, money to afford tools and gadgets and time to learn to maximize them–it makes me envious of the kids today.
Yet I don’t see it as a cause for fear– speed only kills if we try to go beyond what is possible and natural for us– and the universe of what is possible and normal for us is already a vast universe with vast opportunities.
My mama never learned to drive, but she always beats me to any meeting place–she walks and takes the subway. I will never be able to put up a website as fast as the kids do in my office, but none of them can write a presentation as fast or as effective as I do. (Of course, we’re working on that, I don’t intend to be the one doing those forever. But still.)
The trick, I think, is not to try to catch up, but to to adapt. If, for instance, China is the number one market soon, does that mean we should all try to learn Chinese? I agree with David above that it would be good to focus on communication, but communication is more than just language. It involves respect, sharing and understanding: of what is important to others, and there are many ways to communicate.
The Chinese are learning English– one of my sisters and some of my friends don’t speak a word of Chinese but they work with them teaching and editing. I know people who have done business and just learned the language along the way as a matter of necessity. (That’s another of the things I’ve learned– you will always  learn the things you need as long as you don’t freeze.)
Adapt, don’t catch up. We’re all equally equipped with what we need to adapt. And while change may always not be necessarily good in itself, we also have what we need to make it good for us where we are. I think Steve’s site is a good example of that– sharpening what we already have and enabling us to use it to make the most of this changing environment. Showing us that there’s no need to fear, we’ve all got what it takes to survive.

Hi Steve,
The point I get from this video seems to be that success can happen only if we are willing to continue schooling ourselves daily in order to take advantage of the ever-changing opportunities available via the Internet. Quite frankly, I find this a bit frustrating rather than inspiring. I personally do not want to be a professional student, unless of course a decent living can be made that way. I love learning new things, so I would be quite content with that. However, at some point, a student must stop being a student and put his or her knowledge into practice. If there is no hope for that happening, then what is the point?

Steve – me and you are the same page. I just wrote this on my facebook page

“One of my business coaches just had this on his blog. Fascinating for those that don’t understand the scope of what’s going on. Fortunately I’ve been following Howard Bloom for years – who told me about Kurzweil-ian science long ago – basically, the technology we’re creating is re-creating us. Bigger, better, faster, smarter and our world is changing, morphing and re-engaging us in dramatic new ways. I pride myself on being someone who is 20 years ahead of other Pakistani businesses – but even I’m finding it almost too incredible not to stand in awe of what mankind has created in Google, Facebook, Ipad and the self-compounding, self-correcting and self-generating information age”

Steve – would you now like to help me create the most successful multimillion dollar personal training studio business in Dubai????

Hello Steve,  the video shows impressive numbers and information. But instead of motivating, it frightens people like me who do not have time left to learn new things at a speed at which things are changing.
People are kind of obsessed with speed but you know, “speed thrills, but kills”. Frankly, I don’t see any point in just going on running madly leaving every one behind  without even knowing what we are running for. The article says that a student starting to learn a particular technology will find by the time they come to their 3rd year that the technology is already becoming obsolete.  So what are are we doing?
I think that we are, in the name of progress, creating frustration and confusion. If every two years, millions of people are rendered illiterate and useless by a handful of mad geniuses, then I guess those are the people who have to be controlled (read guided) if we really want to see our next generations living peacefully on this beautiful planet.
Do you have some advice/suggestions in this direction then please do share. Don’t be afraid of sounding old fashioned (old school, as they call them). Remember, this old fashioned lot were also successful, in bringing things up to here, in their times.

WOW! What an opportunity! I spoke to my daughter just before I opened this e-mail. I mentioned an idea I had about putting a Craft ” DO-IT” package together. I did the math  1000 x 1000= 1,000,000   put together 1,000 packages. Sell them and “DO-IT”  1,000 times.       I watched the video and realized that creating a Digital Product and selling  1,000,000 of them at  $1.00 would make  $1,000,000.00. WOW! That gets the old creative juices working!        Keep up the GREAT WORK STEVE ! Thanks

Amazing video!  I suppose if one knew all there was to know about computers and technology right now it would benifit them greatly, however, lock them away with no outside contact for the next two years and a lot of the info they know will be obsolete.   So it’s vitaly important to continue one’s education on a daily basis especially if you want to be competitive in the present and future marketplace.

The numbers are unbelievable!!  It shows what we will have to do just to keep up with technology and what we know now will be of no use to us in 2 years.

What is really scary about this is “who will be in charge of this county” then?  If this is really true, then we have to do something about getting these  idiots out of government quickly or we are all doomed!

Steve,
Accepting all of the information in the presentation as true, I am astonished at everything that it did not mention except that the point of the presentation was to demonstrate opportunities that are available.  There have always been opportunities for the seeker. The problem is that all of the available  information  is not useful, all  information is not correct, all of the bad information  is that much more to wade through to mine the truly excellent information.  I realized a long time ago that my remaining lifetime is too short for me to realistically read all of the books in my library  (not the public library but my personal home library) .  The greatest value of professional business success experts would be to cull the good information from the mass of information available and give me just the information I need to accomplish my goals. For this, these  persons must be absolutely honest, understand the business situations in which I am engaged and have my interests as well as theirs at heart.  This is a hard group to locate since what is advisable for me  is not always the most profitable for them.  In the real estate market, it has often been noted that the easiest way to change the focus of a commission based representative for the seller from the seller’s best interest to the buyer’s is for the buyer to present a large refundable deposit with a low ball offer. Too often money is more important than integrity.

Hi Steve.  I can clearly “see why some of the  old-school methods for entrepreneureal  business success strain to deliver and how having  the ongoing support of professional  business  success experts becomes so valuable.
You want me to apply for your lazer-program.  Maybe I will, if the circumstances are right and I am allowed . End of discussion for now.
But I can tell you  my emailbox has been bombarded with proposals on how to start a successful internet-business and how to learn everything  that has to do with internet-marketing and sales. I have downloaded some  of the mail, but honestly I am not committed to it! I dont know why.

You´re program´s  will I stick to, because I believe in you.

I  have read about a new movement on the internet. Internet is the future! In the internet -movement people get together and help each other , i. e.  financially to get jobs, contacts, etc  They get money and free  time” .  In the movement they are “inside”. Those who are “outside” will miss out!  They can´t  take advantage of the opportunities that exists under all circumstances. I don´t  wan´t  to be left out!

Thank you for your  support . It means a lot to me.  Lena

My first thought is every one of us should focus on “communication” as a key competency.  To increase your network of friends and business associates by communicating back and forth, increasing your input of vital information.  Increase your personal skills to effectively coordinate projects, to defuse those crucial conversations, to motivate and inspire families and teams.  To practice and learn the various media of communications, video, audio, written, texting.  To communicate better with the unseen, your subconscious.  Everything is interconnected.  To me, success boils down to communication.
